# Mirage Discord Bot - Terms of Service **Last Updated:** May 16, 2025 **1. Acceptance of Terms** By inviting and using the Mirage Discord bot ("the Bot") on your Discord server, you ("the User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("TOS"). If you do not agree to these TOS, you must not use the Bot. **2. Description of Service** Mirage is a Discord bot that provides channel mirroring functionalities, including the mirroring of messages, attachments, and translations between designated Discord channels, creating a seamless and immersive experience for your community. The specific features available to you may depend on the tier of service you have chosen (if applicable). **3. User Responsibilities** * **Proper Use:** You agree to use the Bot in a manner that is consistent with these TOS, Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws and regulations. * **Server Ownership/Permissions:** You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary permissions and authority to invite and configure the Bot on your Discord server. * **Configuration:** You are responsible for the proper configuration of the Bot, including setting up mirroring rules and designated channels. * **Content Responsibility:** You acknowledge that the Bot mirrors content generated by users on your server. You are responsible for ensuring that all such content complies with Discord's rules and all applicable laws. We are not responsible for the content mirrored by the Bot. * **Account Security:** You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account and any administrative access you have to the Bot's settings. * **Compliance with Laws:** You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the use of Discord and the Bot, including but not limited to data privacy and intellectual property laws. **4. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE BOT WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. **8. Limitation of Liability** TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Mirage SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE BOT, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TOS OR YOUR USE OF THE BOT SHALL NOT EXCEED $1.00. **9. Indemnification** You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mirage, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Bot, your violation of these TOS, or your violation of any rights of a third party, including Discord's terms and guidelines. **10. Termination** * We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Bot at any time, with or without cause and without prior notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, violation of these TOS or our fair use policy. * You may cease using the Bot at any time by removing it from your Discord server. * Upon termination, your license to use the Bot will immediately cease. **11. Modifications to the TOS** We reserve the right to modify these TOS at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any significant changes, such as by posting the updated TOS on our website or within the Bot's interface.
